Sam Kirkham designed a great shoe for the walk to school week. He was presented with his prize by none other than a special visitor to our class Mr. Tucker ! Well done Sam. There were many superb shoe designs for ‘Shoesday’ but only one winner.

Year Three took part in the sponsored walk to raise money for the new playground equipment. It was a glorious morning the sun shone and all the class walked twice round the course without complaint. Although they were all rather subdued for the rest of the day! Well done Year Three and thank you.

We had a visit from Mr. Ayaz Bhuta the Great Britian Paralympic wheelchair rugby player who played in the 2016 Olympics at Rio.

Year Three went to Lotherton hall just before Half term. While there we all walked round the nature trail looking at the various trees and Habitats that the wild life live in. We also walked round the Bird Garden which was really fun looking at all the amazing variety of bird sizes and colours, which was your child’s favourite?

In Maths Year Three have been challenged to quick fire questions of increasing or decreasing a given number by different multiples of ten. This has involved the tricky jump over a hundred barrier but they have coped admirably, well done Year Three!

Year Three have been enjoying finding a rhythm and beat in Music. This has helped in P.E. where they are learning some country dancing type moves to create a sequence of dance similar to ceilidh dancing to a rousing Scottish reel backing track or similar music which has a beat of 4 to move to. I am looking forward to the final dance sequences which promise to be very proficient.
