1.2.19 - A big thank you to the parent's who were able to join us for our Thrive launch day. Children and parents took part in Pokemon yoga, mindfullness colouring, mood boards, board games and colour emotions activities.

18.12.18 - We had a super Christmas party this afternoon where we played lots of different games, including pass the parcel, musical statues, corners, snowman challenge and many more. The children got to wear their festive hats for the party.

14.12.18 - We have had an excellent day getting into the Christmas spirit with Christmas jumpers, dinner and the fair at the end of the day!

16.11.18 - We have had lots of fun celebrating and fundraising for Children in Need. We all brought a pound into school to dress up in spotty clothes. We have been able to buy buns from the bake sale at break and we spent our English lesson finding out about some of the projects that Children in Need supports.

9.11.18 - We have worked incredibly hard on our class assembly this week and it was a real treat to see the children sharing all their fabulous learning with parents and the rest of the school. The assembly included setting descriptions, art work, a french song and the children performing a piece of music on their Ukuleles. Well done Year 4 and a big thank you to all the parents who were able to join us.

21.9.18 - This week has been Year 4's Orchard Week. To mark this, we spent lots of time down in the Orchard completing a selection of activities. We used our Geography skills to map out the Orchard, completed a colour hunt to link with our art work, collected items to make aboriginal story sticks and used the ipads to take and edit our own photos. Here are a few action shots!

13.9.18 - We have been looking at developing our place value knowledge in Maths, we created a giant number line in the classroom and tried to order 3 and 4 digit numbers on it. The children used their knowledge and reasoning skills to justify where numbers should be on the number line. We also played a 'what's changed' game where the children had to figure out which numbers had changed places. Super learning - Well done Year 4!

13.9.18 - We have really enjoyed learning about and recreating the work of Georgia O'Keeffe over the last two weeks for Art weeks. We have recreated stags head, devloped our watercolour painting skills and we finished today by developing our collage skills based on a forest scene.

During the first of our two transition days we had lots of fun getting to know each other and our new classroom routines. We played games inside the classroom and completed a range of drama activities in the hall.
