There are currently two vacancies at Athelstan School

 

Athelstan School is going through a period of growth and expansion and is therefore looking to recruit outstanding candidates both Teaching and Non teaching to join our school .Recruitment will be in line with the school growth and its move to two form entry.

All vacancies will be advertised on the school website and also on the NYCC Jobs and Careers page.

General Teaching Assistant and MSA EStablished Posts  

GTA Post 15 hours per week  Band 4 SCP 9 -13 Term Time only  

MSA Post 5 hours per week    Band 3 SCP 7- 9 Term Time only

Children and Young Peoples Services  Athelstan Community Primary School

An experienced dedicated General Teaching Assistant and lunchtime supervisor is required to join our team.It is essential to have current experience of working within a school setting with children in both KS1 and KS2. The willingness and ability to work co-operatively within an established team is essential. We are committed to inclusion and we are looking for a good team player with a flexible approach to the curriculum, as well as an ability to foster excellent and appropriate professional relationships with children and their parents/carers. Children and Young Peoples Services   Athelstan Community Primary School

We are looking to appoint a General Teaching Assistant for 13.75 hours per week to support a child with an Education Health Care Plan.The appointment will be for someone who is enthusiastic and committed, to become a valued member of our team. The role will involve working with an individual pupil and individual groups of pupils under the direction of the class teacher and other appropriate staff. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and other support staff, and will demonstrate a flexible approach with the aim of helping the pupil continue to make progress. The ability to develop a brilliant rapport with children and nurture their self-esteem is essential, the successful candidate should have excellent communication skills and have calm and understanding manner.Experience of working within a school is essential.
