Who are we and what do we do?

The Athelstan Parents' and Supporters' Association (APSA) are a group of parents, school staff and people from the local community. The group’s main aim is to raise funds to buy ‘little extras’ for school. Funds are raised in a variety of ways e.g. through events such as discos, family night, pamper evenings, Christmas fair, etc. The Friends also meet to consider requests for funds from staff and pupils. The Friends give up their valuable time but always do their best, often under difficult circumstances to make a difference to the children at school.

Where and When?

The Friends hold their lively and informal meetings in every month ,venue to be announced ,all welcome.

The next meeting is on 'TO BE CONFIRMED'.

We are always looking for extra helpers so please do come along to the next meeting. We always need and welcome new people to provide fresh ideas and enthusiasm. Remember our success depends entirely on your help and support. We would welcome support from parents, grandparents, carers and members of the community.

We had a good response to the 'Grow a Pound' letters that were sent to families and the children should now have received their pounds. We hope the children have great fun coming up with creative ways to grow their pounds and look forward to hearing all about it!
We are really pleased to be able to share some fantastic news with you all! We have received confirmation from Elmet Lions of a £1000 donation towards our new playground. This is an amazing amount and sets us off towards our £10,000 target. We are hugely grateful to the lions as I'm sure you all are too! Thankyou very much
