ECO SCHOOL AWARD 2020

Athelstan Community Primary School has been awarded the Green Flag award for its commitment to the environment.

The award is recognition of the schools on going commitment to the environment and to the ethos of Eco Schools. Miss O’Donnell head teacher is delighted with the achievement and recognition of the hard work by both staff and pupils. Miss Town and Miss Wright the schools Eco coordinators have worked with the children to gain the award which has helped develop many projects within school. The children have a greater understanding of recycling, energy saving, wastage, planting and growing and care for the environment. The Eco Schools Assessors Comments about the school were:
