NYCC Music Service

The Music Service is the lead organisation in the North Yorkshire Music Hub. As a service they offer instrumental lessons in schools on a wide variety of instruments for all levels. There are a range of options available, from individual to group lessons. Remissions are available for those on Free School Meals and working tax credits. Please see the Fees page for details.

They have a large team of specialist staff who are all DBS checked and go through the NYCC protocols for recruitment. They are observed every year to ensure quality and attend regular training days to make sure they are up to date with the latest information, resources and National Guidance.

Group Tuition is taught in small groups of 8 and last for 30 mins. Fees for group tuition are charged directly to parents by the school. Currently we are able to offer Year 4 and Year 6 access to to group musical tuition. We do keep a waiting list if numbers exceed capacity.

Lessons are available on the following instruments. If we feel that an instrument other than the one you have chosen is more suitable due to age etc. our teacher will contact you. We recommend lessons for wind instruments don't start until Year 3/4.
