Year 3

Linked to their Rainforest topic, Year 3 have been exploring maps, both physical and digital, identifying the equator and the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. Areas of interest included Sherburn, Brazil, the Amazon Rainforest and London. The children also had a visit from Power Down Pete and learnt more about deforestation and the different layers in the rainforest.

Year 2

Year 2 have been using atlases to help them identify and name the seven continents of the world.

Year 1

Year 1 have been learning about their local area. They looked for physical and human geographical features around the school grounds. They also learnt about the different styles of houses they might see in the village and used construction resources to build houses and talk about the features of them.
