Miss Frampton: Fridays
Homework
Spellings
We test spellings and hand in the spelling homework sheet on: Friday
It is important for your child to be learning their spellings each week as it will help them with their application for both reading and writing.
If using the look, say, cover, write, check method is not suitable for your child, please feel free to learn and practise the spellings in a different way. In the 'English and SPaG' section of our year page, there are other strategies to practise their spellings, such as 'Split Words', 'Pyramid Words', and many more. The spelling sheet can be found in the 'Homework' section of our year page.
Grammar, Spelling and Punctuation Workbooks
Activities for grammar, spelling and punctuation will be set weekly on Friday and to be handed in on the following Friday. The activity will be in a workbook and the children will know what page(s) they will need to complete throughout the week. The date of when the activity was set will also be on the page(s) of what needs to be completed. Please ensure that your child only completes the set activity for the week.
Reading
Our daily homework is to read to an adult at home. There is a bookmark in your child's planner that has example question starters to use to question your child on what they are reading. This will enhance your child's understanding of what they are reading. A copy of this bookmark can be found in the 'Reading' section of our year page.
Times Tables
Completing 20 games on TT Rockstars is also set and needs to be completed daily throughout the week. This will help to ensure we make our best possible progress during our time in Year Three.
Additional
Additional homework has been set via Athelnandos which you can find in the homework section of our class page. Additional Maths activities can also be found in the 'Maths' section of our year page.
