Welcome to Year Two

TEACHERS IN YEAR TWO ARE

Mrs Thompson and Miss Town in the Giallo Room

Mrs Turner and Mrs Ford  in the Yellow Room

We do PE on:

Mrs Thompson/Miss Town: Tuesdays

Mrs Turner/Mrs Ford : Tuesdays

PE

The children will need an outdoor PE kit of white t-shirt, blue or black jogging bottoms and top and trainers.

We practise our times tables: daily

Spellings and Homework

We test spellings on: Friday

It is important for your child to be learning their spellings each week as it will help them with their phonetic application for both reading and spelling. 

Please return homework sheets on a Friday.

If using the look, say, cover, write, check method is not suitable for your child, please feel free to learn and practise the spellings in a different way. It will be beneficial for the children to have a go at writing a sentence using the words on the back of the sheet.

Our daily homework is to read to an adult at home and practise spellings. This will help to ensure we make our best possible progress during our time in Year Two.

Additional homework will be set occasionally throughout the year. This will usually be linked to our topic.
