Main Pay Scale 3-6

We are looking to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic and highly motivated KS2 teacher to join our experienced, happy, and hardworking team, working in a year 5 class. The successful candidate will have an enthusiastic and creative approach, with a willingness to share their skills, and love of teaching, with our dedicated, established team. The school has a strong commitment to creative learning and the outside curriculum.

We are looking for a practitioner who:

  • Is an outstanding teacher with a passion for, and an understanding of working with children
  • Has an excellent knowledge of the curriculum
  • Is committed to nurturing the development of young children and is able to establish a rapport with children and parents.
  • Has a commitment to inclusive education and a genuine desire to work co-operatively with parents, key school staff and other professionals.
  • Is hard working and enthusiastic
  • Is able to work as part of a team to achieve the very best for our children.
  • Will be creative, flexible and possess a good sense of humour.

Please note there is no flexibility on the grading of this position. This post is subject to enhanced DBS, suitable references and medical clearance.

General Teaching Assistant 25.5 hours per week

Grade C/D Scale 3-6   TERM TIME only

MSA 3.75 hours per week

Grade A/B scale 2 TERM TIME only

Total hours 29.25

Athelstan School is looking to appoint an outstanding and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our hard-working, dedicated team. The post is 25.5 hours per week, plus break and lunch duty for  3.75 hours, working  across Key Stage Two providing classroom support.
